Education (Formal and Non-Formal) Program
Education is the main component of the any civilized society but regret to share
it that Pakistan is far away to provide it properly to its inhabitants. Today
our government claims that it has raised the literacy rate in its regime up to
43%. But it doesn’t matter either we are providing quality education or not. On
the other hand children are still doing child labor and bounded labor and kept
them deprived from literacy they urge to take them out from this worst
situation. We want to be literate but there is no any way to be literate for
us.
According to the census of 1998 total population of the district Sheikhupura is
3,321,029 and the urban population is comprises of 870,616 which is 26.2%
percent of the total population and rest of rural population is comprises of
73.8%. Literacy rate is 43.8%, for male it is 53.3% and for female it is 33.3%.
